The use of english songs to Improve vocabulary learning in eleventh Grade Students / Azzahra Faradhilla Alief
Abstrak
This research was a Classroom Action Research. The subjects were first-semester students of class XI-1 which consisted of 31 students of SMAN 1 Gondanglegi Malang. This research aimed to improve students vocabulary learning through English songs. This research was conducted by Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was done in one cycle. The cycle consisted of planning implementing observing and reflecting. The techniques of analyzing data in this research used qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The qualitative data were collected through observation and questionnaire whereas the quantitative data were collected by conducting the tests. The result of the test showed that the mean score was 76.61. The result of the post-test showed that 1) the students were enthusiastic and participated in learning vocabulary by using songs 2) the students can understand the meaning of words in the song s lyrics 3) the students can memorize some vocabulary of the song rsquo s lyrics.
