Abstrak
This study examines the effect of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) integration with Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) on students creative thinking skills in learning sustainable natural resource management at SMA Negeri 1 Jombang. The quasi-experimental method with Pre-test Post-test Nonequivalent Control Group design was applied to 66 grade XI students divided into experimental (PjBL-DAP) and control (PjBL) classes. The research instruments included creative thinking essay test and learning activity observation. The results of the Independent Sample T-Test analysis showed no significant difference between the two groups (p 0.560) although the mean score of the experimental class was slightly higher (77 vs. 76.4). Two-Way ANOVA also confirmed no significant difference by gender (p 0.422). The findings indicate that the limited duration of the intervention the less flexible project structure and the less contextualized assessment instrument could potentially hinder the achievement of learners creativity. This study recommends modification of DAP with integration of geospatial analysis-based challenges and extension of project duration to increase the relevance of sustainability-based Geography learning.
