The effect of modification of traditional dance of the malangan mask on gross motor skills students with autism spectrum disorder (asd) at slb autis laboratory of State University of Malang / Choirini Zahro

Abstrak
This study aims to determine the effect of the modification of the Traditional Topeng Malangan Dance on the gross motor skills of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at SLB Autis Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Malang. The method used was a quasi-experimental approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of five male students with ASD selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was the Test of Gross Motor Development-2 (TGMD-2) and data were collected through pretest (before treatment) and posttest (after treatment) results. The data analysis showed that the average pretest score was 20 and the posttest score was 32. The result of the asymp. sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.043 and asymp. sig. (2-tailed) lt alpha . Therefore it can be concluded that the implementation of the Modified Traditional Topeng Malangan Dance had an effect on the gross motor skills of students with ASD.
