The effect of the field trip method on 7th graders\' naturalistic intelligence in the topic of classification of living things / Nikmah Dinar Nazard
Abstrak
The development of naturalistic intelligence in Indonesia is still low and has not been measured in the learning process This study aims to determine the effect of the field trip method on students naturalistic intelligence on the classification of living things. The research method used a quantitative pre-experimental approach with a one group prestest posttest design. The sample used by using purposive sampling method. Research data obtained through quantitative research in the form of naturalistic intelligence test results naturalistic intelligence questionnaires observation results and 4F reflection journals. The field trip method treatment was conducted on 32 seventh grade students. The results showed that there was an effect of using the field trip method on students naturalistic intelligence with a moderate level with an N-gain value of 0.54. Observation data shows that the field trip method can affect naturalistic intelligence especially students investigative ability. The results of questionnaire data show that field trips can have an effect on naturalistic intelligence especially on students concern for nature. The results of 4F reflection data show that students are active and happy when learning with the field trip method and students can make plans to take action to care for nature and learning about the classification of living things.
