Phenomenological study: the future of career of madurese bhekalan tradition performers among student of smpn 1 sumbermalang, situbondo regency / Alfiyah Husna Amalina Sugiardi
Abstrak
This study explores the perspective and career barriers of SMPN 1 Sumbermalang students involved in the Bhekalan tradition to support the counseling guidance teacher rsquo s guidance program. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach with interviews and observations analyzed through the Miles and Huberman model. The study finds three key issues. First students both Bhekalan and non- Bhekalan lack self-awareness not their interest and talents due to the absence of a counseling guidance teacher. Second Bhekalan participants experience pessimism as the tradition restricts careers to domestic roles and weak economic conditions leading to doubts about further education or employment. Third there is a conflict between student rsquo s career aspirations and the tradition which limits women rsquo s autonomy. This study recommends the appointment of counseling guidance teacher in related schools and the implementation of career guidance services aligned with students SKKPD at the Junior Hich School level.
