Keywords Urban Style Fashion Trapunto Quilting Innovation and Community Response The fashion collection inspired by the floating market destination is Akara Jukun sasiranan. The definition of akara jukun sasiranan akara comes from Sanskrit which means form and jukun sasiranan comes from Banjar language namely boat and sasirangan. From the concept of a unique and traditional floating market destination where the community conducts transactions between traders and buyers in this traditional market on a floating boat. The innovation of urban style fashion design based on Sasirangan fabric with trapunto quilting technique was carried out by adjusting the characteristics of modern dynamic and functional urban style. This process began with an exploration of the latest fashion trends to determine silhouettes and design details that are in accordance with the preferences of women aged 17-35 years in South Kalimantan. The research method that will be used is descriptive qualitative. The qualitative approach is used to explore the process of applying the trapunto quilting technique on sasirangan fabric. The application of trapunto quilting technique on Sasirangan fabric was done by exploring various interesting design variations that fit the aesthetics of urban style clothing. The process began with the selection of sasirangan fabrics that had suitable motifs and colors to be combined with the three-dimensional effect of the trapunto technique. Various stitching patterns are applied to create embossed textures ranging from floral geometric to abstract motifs that give a modern and dynamic impression. Qualitative descriptive consists of design innovation comfort and product attractiveness. Sofrom all the results of data indicators it shows that fashion design innovations with the trapunto technique on sasirangan fabrics are well received by the community in the Pelaihari city area especially from the elements of comfort and visual appeal. This community response shows a great opportunity in developing traditional fabrics into the realm of modern fashion without losing cultural values but paying attention to market segmentation and consumer tastes.
