Abstrak
Building mental map skills for the visually impaired faces many challenges due to limitations in technology and spatial perception. This research is designed to develop a digital map that can build mental map skills by integrating features that can accommodate the needs of the visually impaired by simplifying spatial information. This study is a research and development type using the ADDIE model in developing digital maps. The subjects of this research are visually impaired students of the State University of Malang. The development of this research was carried out by analyzing the needs of visually impaired designing applications and making applications implementation and evaluation. The trial was conducted on four research subjects with a practicality score of 78% which showed practicality and improvement through path edge district node and landmark indicators. The results of this study confirm the need for accessible technology design in supporting mobility and building mental map skills.
