Development of heroic learning media (chemistry holic) based on multi representation of chemistry using the 5e learning cycle model to improve students\' motivation and learning outcomes on colligative properties of solutions / Berlian Inka Agustina

Abstrak
Encouraging student motivation in learning chemistry is a challenge . In chemistry learning motivation is related to the content and method of learning chemistry. Often in chemistry learning especially the colligative properties of solutions it focuses more on formulas without relating them to real life this triggers the perception in students that the concept of colligative properties of solutions is abstract and far from real life so that students have difficulty being motivated in understanding the material that has an impact on the learning outcomes obtained. The purpose of this study was to produce determine the level of feasibility and effectiveness of Chemistry Holic learning media based on multiple chemical representations using the Learning Cycle 5E model on student motivation and learning outcomes. This development research uses the ADDIE model with stages including analyze design development implementation and evaluation . However the implementation stage was only carried out in small groups using a pre-experimental design one group pretest-posttest . The results of the study in the form of Heroic (Chemistry Holic) learning media based on multiple chemical representations using the Learning Cycle 5E model are categorized as very feasible very easy to understand very good and effective in increasing student motivation and cognitive learning outcomes . Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the Heroic (Chemistry Holic) learning media successfully developed suitable for use as a learning medium and effective in increasing motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of students on the material on colligative properties of solutions
