Undergraduate student\'s motivation in completing xreading tasks / Anggita Febriana Rachmandari

Abstrak
Extensive reading is necessary for the English department. This is showed by the extensive reading course that first-year student takes during their first semester. Some previous studies revealed reading attitudes in extensive reading activities using XReading. This study aimed to find students rsquo motivation in completing tasks on XReading. This study involved 154 ELE students 2024 cohort of Universitas Negeri Malang as samples. This study used survey with a questionnaire as the data collecting tool. The study found that most students lacked interest motivation and awareness in reading. The conclusion of this study is that external motivation is a driving factor for students in completing tasks in XReading.
