Development of interactive bank kids website-based games to enhance financial literacy understanding in children aged 5-6 years / Stephany Wahyu Pramudya

Abstrak
Financial literacy is knowledge and skills related to the management and utilization of finances in improving future welfare. Financial literacy should begin in early childhood when the child s personality is being formed and when they must be taught how to make the right decisions about financial management. Financial literacy can be given to children by adjusting the characteristics of early childhood one of which is through interactive website-based games. Based on pre-research observations in three kindergarten institutions in Malang City there is a lack of learning media that can help children stimulate financial literacy in children aged 5-6 years. This is one of the causes of the lack of financial literacy knowledge among students in these institutions. The purpose of the research and development is to produce a website-based interactive Bank Kids game media that is feasible in terms of material or content media and users. This game can be used to introduce currency values teach the concept of saving and counting the flow of simple bank transaction processes and provide knowledge about the concept of needs and wants in early childhood. This study uses the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model (Analyze Design Development and Evaluation). The results of the study obtained a score of 98 from material experts a score of 88 from media experts and a score of 96 from learning practitioners. In the small group trial the Bank Kids game received a score of 97 while in the large group trial an average score of 98 was obtained from both kindergarten institutions. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the interactive Bank Kids website-based game is very feasible to be used to improve the understanding of financial literacy in children aged 5-6 years.
