Development of the \"foodie planner\" pocket book to optimize parents\' knowledge in providing balanced food for children aged 4-5 years / Yufrida Anggia Saputri
Abstrak
Parents knowledge of balanced nutrition is closely related to the role and responsibilities of parents as food providers in the home. Children aged 4-5 years is the phase where children enter the school world and must get enough nutritional intake to help their bodies stay healthy and carry out activities optimally. However the reality is that there are still many problems regarding the lack of parental awareness in providing balanced nutrition so that many children do not get appropriate food intake so that they are easily affected by problems with nutrition. This study aims to produce Foodie Planner pocket book product that can be easily accessed by parents to optimize the knowledge of providing balanced nutrition for children aged 4-5 years. The method used in this study is RnD (Research and Development) with the Borg and Gall development model. The data generated in this study are quantitative and qualitative data used to assess the feasibility of the developed product. The assessment of the Foodie Planner pocket book product obtained results from material experts validators 88 1% the design experts 92 7% and nutritionists experts validator 81 3%. The total accumulated results of the small group trial obtained a score of 87 9%. While the total accumulated results of the large group trials obtained a score of 86 8%. Based on the results of the product assessment Foodie Planner pocket book product was declared suitable for used in optimizing parents knowledge in providing balanced food for children aged 4-5 years.
