Integration of planning data and visualization of canal blocking design using bim software autodesk revit 2024 / Paschalis Bangkit Sanjaya
Abstrak
Tropical peatlands in Indonesia are significantly degraded triggering fires and droughts and conventional planning of canal blocking by the Peat amp Mangrove Restoration Agency (BRGM) based on 2D CAD hinders data integration design visualization and understanding by non-technical stakeholders. To overcome these challenges this research aims to produce a 3D design of an integrated canal blocking using Autodesk Revit 2024 as well as analyze the volume of work of the canal blocking structure and measure its accuracy against the Detail Engineering Design (DED). The method used is Building Information Modeling (BIM) with a case study of the construction of a canal blocking type KSE-PK-P-2 in Bukit Rawi Village Central Kalimantan integrating field data and DED from AutoCAD to Revit 2024 for 3D modeling design validation rendering visualization and concrete volume calculation. The results showed that Revit successfully produced an accurate 3D model along with a structured DED simplifying the design complexity for multi-stakeholder understanding. The structural concrete volume calculation shows a deviation of only 0.12% (15.480 m sup3 lt 15.997 m sup3 in manual calculation) which is still within ASTM tolerance ( lt 2.78%). The integration of the DED from AutoCAD confirms the conformity of the model to field conditions reducing the risk of technical errors and Revit s ability to calculate the volume of intersecting elements results in more realistic material estimates. Thus Autodesk Revit 2024 proved effective for planning data integration 3D visualization design validation and volume calculation in a canal block project with the potential to improve communication quality and planning accuracy in peatland restoration.
