The hebat stage media for strengthening anti-bullying character in children aged 5 – 6 years / Nesya Wulan Sari
Abstrak
Violence against children in early childhood education settings can have severe impacts on their physical psychological emotional and social development. Physically violence may cause injuries or harm. Psychologically and emotionally children who experience violence are prone to trauma anxiety depression low self-esteem and behavioral disorders. Violence can also hinder social development leading to difficulties in peer interactions and diminished self-confidence. Educational play tools serve as learning media to support early childhood education fostering the development of essential aspects of a child rsquo s growth. This study aims to develop the HEBAT Stage Media to instill anti-bullying character in children aged 5 ndash 6 years at PKK VII Kindergarten and Mutiara Ilmu Plus Kindergarten in Pandaan. It also seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of the HEBAT Stage Media in enhancing children rsquo s understanding and behavior regarding anti-bullying in these kindergartens. The evaluation measures changes in children rsquo s cognitive affective and behavioral aspects related to bullying providing empirical evidence of the media rsquo s effectiveness in achieving learning objectives. This research employs a Research and Development (R amp D) approach to develop the ldquo HEBAT Stage rdquo learning media for strengthening anti-bullying character in children aged 5 ndash 6 years. The R amp D method was chosen as it is suitable for creating and testing educational products for use in learning environments. The HEBAT Stage Media underwent validation by experts and field trials yielding satisfactory results based on suitability efficiency and appeal. Validation results from content experts indicated a feasibility score of 91% media experts 84% and user experts 95.5%. Additionally small-scale field trials achieved a feasibility score of 87.5% while large-scale trials reached 91.4%. Based on these validation and field trial results the HEBAT Stage Media meets the ldquo Highly Feasible rdquo criteria. The development validation and field trials of the HEBAT Stage Media demonstrate that it meets the feasibility criteria for use in teaching anti-bullying character to young children. This media is not only effective in conveying moral messages but also enhances children rsquo s understanding of values such as empathy mutual respect cooperation and the courage to apologize
