Abstrak
The purpose of this study was to develop a valid Solar System edukit and to determine students responses to the developed edukit. Using a 4D model consisting of four stages namely definition design development and dissemination this study employed research and development (R amp D) techniques or methods. This study focused on the development stage namely product development and validation testing. Media learning needs analysis was conducted during the definition stage to determine what students and teachers desired. The design stage involved the initial design of the edu-kit based on the results of the needs analysis. During the development stage the edu-kit prototype was validated by media experts lecturers and science teachers followed by readability testing or student response testing. With an average score of 91.15% this Solar System edukit was deemed highly valid by media professionals. Furthermore the average score of 89.79% in the readability or student response test indicates that this edukit is highly valid and suitable for use as a teaching tool for solar system material.
