Application of a contextual approach in the context of traditional dance to improve mathematics learning interest and outcomes of Class III SDN 1 Slamparejo / Nabila Tri Noviana Dewi
Abstrak
The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the application of a contextual approach in increasing the learning interest and learning outcomes of grade 3 students of SDN 1 Slamparejo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a type of research using Class Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 cycles where each cycle consists of 2 meetings. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students interest in learning and learning outcomes. In cycle 1 the percentage of student learning interest was 69% in the good category in cycle 2 the percentage of student learning interest was 81% in the very good category. Students interest in learning increased by 12%. Meanwhile the percentage of learning outcomes in cycle 1 was 51% with the fair category and in cycle 2 was 78% with the good category. Student learning outcomes have increased by 27%. Based on these results it can be concluded that the use of contextual approaches is effective in increasing students learning interest and learning outcomes.
