Development of the \"ocean quest\" board game media on marine ecosystem food web material for fifth grade Elementary School students / Ana Chayati Rohmatika
Abstrak
Learning media is an important component in supporting students understanding of the material in a concrete and fun way. In learning marine ecosystem material elementary schools generally have facilities and media that support it. However more interactive and contextual media variations are needed to enrich students learning experiences especially in understanding the interrelationships between organisms and the flow of energy transfer in an ecosystem. This study aims to develop the Ocean Quest board game media on marine ecosystem food web material for grade V elementary school students. This research uses the Research and Development (R amp D) method with the ADDIE development model. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews observations documentation and questionnaires involving material experts media experts teachers and students of Randugading 4 State Elementary School. The validation results showed an average material validity level of 85.8% average media validity of 93.3% practicality by teachers of 96.6% and practicality by students of 98.5%. Based on these results the Ocean Quest board game media is declared valid and practical to use as learning media on marine ecosystem food web material in elementary schools.
