Development of video essay learning media on seafloor morphology within geography education / Sabila Mustaf Listyanti
Abstrak
The accelerating growth of digital technology has greatly influence teaching and learning methods calling for new and creative strategies to support deeper learning and keep students engaged. Utilizing video-based media offers a practical and innovative approach to meet the evolving needs of education in the digital age. Based on the analysis result students require flexible digital learning media to support their learning needs. In addition students need media that can help them to get more explanation through literacy on seafloor morphology material. This study aims to develop video essay media to provide a clearer understanding of the material and to evaluate its feasibility and practicality as an instructional tool. This research utilizes the ADDIE (Analysis Design Develop Implemet Evaluate) instructional design model to systematically assess the suitability of the video essay as a learning medium. The findings of this study indicate that the media validation achived a score of 87.5% while the material validation yielded a score of 75%. Teacher response questionnaire results reached 92.5% and students responses recorded a score of 82.3%. Based on the results of experts and practical assessments the video essay functions as an accessible learning tool that present content clearly through structured information and visual elements supporting geography education in line with curriculum goals.
