The influence of um green campus implementation on students\' ecological citizenship awareness through the energy citizenship dimension at state university of malang / Nugroho Dwi Saputra

Abstrak
This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of the UM Green Campus program on students ecological citizenship awareness at Malang State University with energy citizenship as a mediating variable. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive explanatory design. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 415 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Data analysis used a path analysis model with the SEM-PLS method. The results showed that the direct effect of Green Campus implementation on ecological citizenship awareness was insignificant. However the effect of energy citizenship on ecological citizenship was significant. Furthermore the indirect effect of Green Campus implementation on ecological citizenship through energy citizenship was also significant. These findings suggest that the success of Green Campus implementation in enhancing ecological citizenship depends on how well the values of energy citizenship are internalized. This study highlights the importance of participatory and educational efforts in promoting energy citizenship to encourage students active involvement in sustainable environmental transformation.
