The effectiveness of the example non example learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students on the topic of Indonesia being rich in culture / Novitasari
Abstrak
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the application of the Example Non Example learning model to the learning outcomes of grade IV students in culturally rich Indonesian materials. The method used in this study is quantitative with a Quasi Experiment Design research design with a pre-test and post-test non-equvalent control group design. The data collection techniques used are tests and observations. The analysis of test data used in this study is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis including normality test homogeneity test and Mann-Whitney U Test test assisted by the SPSS 25 for Windows application. The results of observation of the implementation of experimental class learning were carried out in two meetings with an average percentage score of 91.42%. This indicates that the stages of the Example Non Example learning model can be carried out very well. Then the average pretest score of the experimental class was almost equivalent to that of the control class indicating that both classes had the same initial ability. Then the increase from pretest to posttest in the experimental class was more significant with an average difference of 14.71 compared to the control class with a difference of 7.06. Then the results of the Mann-Whitney U Test showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.016 which was smaller than 0.05 so that it was concluded that there was a difference between the experimental class and the control class. In addition judging from the mean rank value the experimental class had an average rank value of 21.50 and the control class had an average rank value of 13.50. Based on these values it is known that the average score of the experimental class rank is higher than that of the control class. So it can be concluded that experimental classes that use the Example Non Example learning model are more effective in culturally rich Indonesian materials.
