Pengenbangan media self-help terbimbing dalam konseling kelompok kognitif perilaku teknik reframing untuk meningkatkan student engagement siswa MTs./ Usrotun Diniyah
Abstrak
Student engagement plays an essential role in the development of students rsquo knowledge and skills and is strongly associated with academic achievement. Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) are particularly at risk of experiencing low student engagement. Several factors contribute to this condition one of which is students rsquo misconceptions about education. Guided self-help media in cognitive-behavioral group counseling with the reframing technique is expected to enhance the effectiveness of group counseling. Accordingly this study aims to develop guided self-help media and a manual for cognitive-behavioral group counseling with the reframing technique that are theoretically and practically acceptable in terms of usefulness accuracy simplicity and attractiveness as well as feasible for improving student engagement in MTs. This research employed the ADDIE development model consisting of five phases (1) Analyze (2) Design (3) Develop (4) Implement and (5) Evaluate. The implementation subjects were MTs students in Malang Regency who had low student engagement as indicated by the results of the student engagement questionnaire. Product validity was tested by guidance and counseling experts media experts and guidance and counseling teachers as potential users. The validation results were analyzed using Aiken rsquo s V. Product implementation was carried out in real classroom settings with guidance and counseling teachers and MTs students. The results showed that guided self-help media in cognitive-behavioral group counseling with the reframing technique is theoretically and practically valid for improving student engagement among MTs students. Moreover the product was considered feasible based on the evaluation outcomes.
