Ph.D Keywords Speaking ability Think-Pair-Share Strategy RealLife Application. Speaking skills are often overlooked in English language learning in Indonesia as they are not assessed in the national academic ability test (TKA) which focuses mainly on written exams. According to the 2025 Regulation of the Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education English is one of the mandatory subjects for graduation yet the evaluation only emphasizes reading and grammar and tends to neglect students speaking competence. This situation causes teachers to prioritize written skills over oral communication. As reported by the EF English Proficiency Index Indonesia ranks low globally in English proficiency. These challenges include both linguistic factors mdash such as poor pronunciation grammar and limited vocabulary mdash and non-linguistic issues like anxiety lack of confidence and limited motivation. Despite the importance of speaking as a primary productive skill research addressing these problems among Indonesian EFL students remains limited. Moreover recent educational directions have called for a shift toward using English for real-life communication rather than focusing solely on grammar rules. Based on initial observations conducted at State Senior High School 9 Malang researchers found that students of grade XI of State Senior High School 9 Malang were struggling to speak fluently especially when making presentations in front of the class. In addition teachers also had difficulty in implementing appropriate learning strategies to teach speaking due to the limited time allocated for English learning on the other hand teaching speaking is quite time-consuming. Based on these problems this study tries to integrate the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning strategy with the RealLife application. The objective of this research is to improve students speaking ability through TPS using RealLife application precisely in the ldquo Pair rdquo phase. In addition this study also aims to explore the students perception of the strategy implemented. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which adapts the research model by Kemmis amp Mc. Taggart. Data will be collected through speaking tests observations questionnaire distribution and interviews. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study was conducted based on the need to solve students speaking problems by implementing TPS using a tool namely the RealLife English Application. It consists of planning action observation and reflection which were carried out during eight direct class meetings. This research was conducted at State Senior High School 9 Malang involving 36 eleventh-grade students. In the implementation of this study four research instruments were used to collect data a speaking test a questionnaire observation and interviews. The study s findings highlight the value of the TPS approach with RealLife Application and how it affects students speaking abilities particularly in the area of speaking fluency. This was evident in the students speaking scores which were assessed using an analytical scoring rubric that considered four criteria lexical resource grammar pronunciation and fluency. The research s conclusions demonstrated that the fluency component had improved the most. Based on a thorough analysis the study not only validates the efficacy of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) strategy that the RealLife application supports but it also offers distinctive insights that are outlined in three main points fluency enhancement through authentic interaction in the pair phase the role of cultural exchange and learning efficiency through a combination of flipped learning and TPS strategies.
