Blended learning has become a crucial approach in higher education in the post-pandemic era combining online and face-to-face instruction to enhance flexibility and accessibility. However students rsquo responses to this approach vary some appreciate the autonomy while others face challenges. This study aimed to explore students rsquo perceptions of blended learning and the factors influencing their motivation particularly in learning English. Using a mixed-method design the research integrated quantitative data to identify general trends and qualitative data to explore experiences in depth. Participants were 101 third-semester students from the English Language Education Study Program cohort 2023 at a state university in Malang. Data were collected through online questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Results showed that most students (n 74) viewed blended learning positively appreciating the flexibility organization and independence it fostered. Motivation was influenced by factors such as technological comfort prior experiences participation willingness and learning environment. Despite its strengths the study rsquo s findings are limited by its small single-institution sample and reliance on self-reported data. Future research should include larger more diverse samples and additional methods such as focus groups or classroom observations. The findings can help educators and policymakers design inclusive well-supported and sustainable blended learning frameworks.
