The effect of nomophobia (no mobile phobia) and academic stress on learning motivation moderated by socio-economic conditions of students in densely populated areas / Demanda Bimantoro
Abstrak
Education is an important indicator of a nation s progress. This will indirectly require motivation especially in learning. In the era of technology even in the world of education which began in the era of the Covid-19 Pandemic everyone must integrate with technology and education is no exception. However the impact of technology itself is not always good one of the visible impacts is nomophobia (no mobile phobia) where someone is afraid to be away from their gadget. If in the context of learning this will cause concentration problems that add to academic stress. Furthermore this condition will be exacerbated by the socio-economic conditions of students where the economic gap will lead to a digital divide which will indirectly interfere with motivation and learning goals and achievements. Therefore the purpose of this study is to see how the influence between nomophobia and academic stress on learning motivation moderated by socio-economic conditions. This research method is quantitative using moderation analysis. Then the sample in this study was 300 high school students with low socio-economic levels who lived in densely populated areas in Malang City. The results explained that nomophobia and academic stress with a high level then learning motivation with a moderate level and socio-economic conditions with a very low level. Then there is the influence of nomophobia on learning motivation moderated by socio-economics with a low level then the influence of academic stress on learning motivation moderated by socio-economics with a moderate level.
