Translation analysis in menu of mobile phone: the Indonesian language used in Nokia 3530 / Halim Rosyid
Abstrak
This study aimed at analysing the Indonesian translation in the menu of Nokia 3530. In addition this study focused on examining the translation procedures used to translate menu items in mobile phone Nokia 3530 identifying the degree of message conservation and also suggesting some improvements for the translations. The results of this study showed that the most dominant translation procedure used to translate words was literal translation used to translate phrases was transposition used to translate sentences is literal translation. Another result was about the degree of message conservation. Most translations of word phrase and sentence in menu items of Nokia 3530 were considered as faithful translation. Key words translation translation analysis menu mobile phone.
