That globalization has become a major world issues forced many nations in the world especially Indonesia to make preparations to deal with. Human resources one of the factors of production used in the company to deal with globalization. SDM is a live production factors and is a dynamic unity of economic psychological and social this means that HR has the desire emotion reason or sense and the environment that s why humans are not worthy compared to other production factors. Companies should provide compensation to its employees properly compensation means can be used to meet the basic needs of its employees. Those it is clear that feelings affect work behaviors such as diligent productive lazy not excited and so forth. Employee s work reflected the level of employee performance in quality and quantity are achieved by an employee in performing their duties in accordance with the responsibilities given to him. High or low performance is closely related to employee training employed by a company or organization where they work. On the job training and off-job training is one example that can increase an employee s performance. This study aims to determine the effect on the job training and off-job training to the employee s performance at Pondok Jatim Park Batu City East Java. This research was carried out in Pondok Jatim Park Batu City East Java in February-March 2009. Subjects in this study were all employees of Pondok Jatim Park Batu City East Java which numbered 38 people while the sample taken as many as 35 people and sampling techniques using a proportionate stratified random sampling. The scope of this research data consists of 3 variables which include methods of on the job training (X1) and the method of off-job training (X2) as independent variables (independent variables) while the performance of the employee (Y) as a Bound variables (dependent variables) . Instrument used in this research is in the form of a questionnaire and measured using Likert scale. From the results of this research can be identified (1) there is significant influence between the methods on the job training for employee performance. (2) there is significant influence between the method of off-job training for employee performance. (3) there is significant influence between the methods on the job training and methods of off-job training for employee performance. This shows that the leadership of Pondok Jatim Park Batu City concerned about the training programs to improve employee performance. Those it can be said that vocational training can have an impact on employee performance improvement in Pondok Jatim Park Batu City East Java. From this conclusion can be suggested that (1) to further enhance employee performance we recommend the implementation of training programs by using the method on the job training and methods of off-job training is more often performed and improved because it can help and facilitate the settlement of the employee s job Pondok Jatim Park Batu City. (2) for employees in order to improve performance you should not just wait for the opportunity to participate in employee training activities organized by institutions or companies they work for but must have a business or other ways to improve performance such as ways to follow the instructions programmed by the management following the formal education and learning at a more senior employe.
