Penerapan metode inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar biologi pada pokok bahasan struktur tumbuhan siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Taman Madya Malang / Yus Hargono Cahyaning Yudi

Abstrak
Observation in class XI natural science Senior High School Taman Madya Malang show that learners have low levels of thinking and motivation. They can tanswer questions level of understand (C2). 7 from 11 learners has result of learning Biology lower than standard minimum of educational goal (65%) so that achievment learn complete yet. The question from learners only 2 questions on 2 hours lesson. According to that problems researcher applying guided inquiry method to increase learn result and learners motivation. Method of guided inquiry allow learners to find concepts by their self. The purpose of this research are to increase motivation and result of learning Biology. Otherwise to know perception of learners to guided inquiry method. This researching include to class action research. Its have two cycle which have 5 hours lesson in each cycle. Subject research amount to 11 people (4 male learners and 7 female learners). Cognitive level assessed by completion achievement learn quality cognitive according each number of final test quantity of questions answers and ideas of learners. Psychomotor skill assessed by psychomotor observation sheet. Motivation assessed by anecdotal record and enquette sheet of motivation (ARCS) that have 4 aspects they are attention relevance confidence and satisfaction. Percentage of index class motivation show level motivation of all learners in class XI Natural Science. The result of research indicated that guided inquiry method can increase learners motivation and result of learning Biology. The recommendations based on the result of research are teacher can use method of guided inquiry to increase motivation and result of learning Biology. Teacher should be increase level of cognitive processes to level analysis (C4). Teacher also can see motivation on aspects confidence more intensifly.
