Abstrak
Success in education is influenced by many factors one of which is a factor of educators or teachers. Teachers educational background is in education that has been achieved by a teacher in completing his studies at an educational institution which has been proved with a diploma or equivalent and have a variety of educational competence for example Diploma Degree and Postgraduate. While performance in the context of the teaching profession is the result of the quality and quantity of work accomplished by the person in carrying out their duties in accordance with the responsibilities given to him which includes pedagogical competence professional competence personal competence and social competence. The study was descriptive correlational. Research subjects in this study is subject teachers productive fashion boutiques adaptive and normative in SMK Negeri 7 and SMK Kartika IV-I Malang City which includes 2 people have the educational background of teachers D3 without a teaching certificate six teachers have a background D3 with a teaching certificate and 47 teachers have the educational background of S1 so the total is 55 teachers. This study uses a questionnaire instrument (questionnaire) and documentation. Data was analyzed with table percentages and simple linear regression analysis tested the assumption of normality and linieritasnya. Results showed that (1) most teachers are always improving our potential through training education and training courses and enhance the background to pursue higher education (2) Teachers of subjects productive fashion boutiques normative and adaptive in SMK Negeri 7 and SMK Kartika IV-I Malang has a good performance and teacher performance is the best teacher performance in terms of pedagogical competence and personal competence of teachers evidenced by 80% or 44 respondents who have a personal and pedagogical competence in both categories (3) Known for teacher education background variables (X) on the performance of teachers (Y) obtained sig 0.567 0.05 that came with the t 0.576
