Peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS melalui model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) pada siswa kelas V SDN Ardimulyo 02 Kecamatan Singosari Kabupaten Malang / Sri Irianti
Abstrak
Keywords Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Activities Learning Outcomes IPS Learning on the SDN Ardimulyo 2002 IPS still centered on teachers and students tend to be passive. Therefore researchers consider it important to conduct research to enhance the activities and outcomes of IPS students. Problem Based Learning (PBL) is one of the strategies of contextual learning approach used in this study to achieve its objective of improving the activity and students social studies class V SDN Ardimulyo 2002. Types of research that used is Class-Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. Data were analyzed descriptively. Place of implementation in 02 Districts Singosari SDN Ardimulyo Malang Regency with V grade students study subjects which amount to 48 students and take place from July 12 until August 15 2010. The results after application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in subjects with the core competencies of social studies leaders tell the history of Buddhism and Hinduism pad period of Islam in Indonesia indicate the existence of a good impact on activity and improving student learning outcomes. Indications of impact on students is an increase in the average score of students learning activities from pre-action to a later cycle I to cycle II. Average score of all components of students pre-action activities from 40 increases to 70 in the first cycle then reached 94 on the second cycle. For student learning outcomes indicated by the increase in the average score of student learning outcomes from the pre-action (58) to the first cycle (69) and then to the second cycle (83) and from the increased level precentage of student success from pre-action (4%) to the first cycle (40%) and cycle II (96%). Based on this research can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) can enhance the activity and outcomes of IPS students. Therefore it is recommended that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) used as an alternative for teachers in assessment activities and results to improve student learning in elementary schools.
