Penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan strategi problem based learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII-I SMP negeri 20 Malang / Dewi Ratnawati

Abstrak
Key Word contextual learning Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning activity learning achievement junior high school of 20 Malang. The learning of science at 7th I class junior high school of 20 Malang use lecture method and only use one attandance book as source of study that is LKS MGMP from school. This condition make student not have motivation to study in the class so the student make noisy and the activity also achievement learning from them is low. Based on that problem so need a solution to solve that problem. The solution that can solve that problem by applying contextual learning with PBL strategy to increase the activity and achievement learning of student. This research include in classroom research with two cycles. The data of student activity got by observation while a research in the class. Whereas the data of student achievement got by test in the last meeting in each cycle for cognitive aspect and by observation for affective aspect. The result of this research show that the application of contextual learning with PBL strategy can increase the activity and achievement student learning from first cycle to the second cycle. The result of this research can apply in the class with another matery beside that in the next research need to do colaboration between model teacher (scientist) and the teacher in that class.
