Dampak pembuangan limbah pabrik tekstil PT. Eratex Djaja, Tbk. terhadap kualitas air sungai umbul di Kecamatan Kanigaran kota Probolinggo / Devi Rachmawati

Abstrak
Key words quality waste water river River water flows in Probolinggo city throughout the year from the south to the north in accordance with the steepness of the area. Using river water for irrigation is the biggest business in the agricultural sector. This study aimed to search some evidences about the influence of textile factory waste disposal on Umbul River Water quality. The purpose of this study was 1) assessing the quality of textile mill effluents PT. Eratex DJAJA Tbk. when is being compared with the limit effluent quality standards according to the East Java Governor Decree No. 45 year 2002 for the textile industry 2) assessing the quality of Umbul river water whether the water quality is good or not as standard of class II based on Government Regulation No.82 of 2001 and 3) knowing the geographical distribution of textile waste of PT. Eratex DJAJA Tbk in Umbul River in Kanigaran District of Probolinggo City. Determination of sampling point technique was a systematic sampling method. This method was used based on the sequence of members of the population which had been given a serial number before. This study was analyzed by a comparative descriptive analysis and parametric statistical tests. Implementation of a comparative descriptive analysis performed on 1) the water quality of textile waste of PT. Eratex DJAJA Tbk using the Standard Quality of textile wastewater by East Java Governor Decree No. 45 of 2002 and 2) the water quality of Umbul River Water based on the Indonesian Government Regulation No. 82 Year 2001. The relationship between distance and water quality of Umbul River was analyzed by parametric statistical analysis. The statistical test was the product-moment correlation. 3) geographical distribution of textile waste of PT. Eratex DJAJA Tbk in Umbul River was shown in the map of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) results. The results showed that 1) the quality of textile waste in the parameter Ammonia Sulfide and Detergent was still under provisions of the East Java Governor Decree No. 45 of 2002 for the textile industry. (2) water quality of Umbul River was not in accordance with the Indonesian Government Regulation No. 82 Year 2001 for Sulfide at a certain distance still above the maximum limit. (3) There was a negative relationship between distance and water quality of Umbul River based on Product Moment correlation analysis. For Ammonia it was very high correlation relationship Sulfida was low correlation relationship whereas Detergent was a high correlation relationship. So if Ammonia Sulfide and Detergent distance are far from the sources of pollution water quality will be better.
