Abstrak
Keywords emotional intelligence study habits and academic achievement. The learning process is important to recognize the surrounding environment individual success in achieving good performance is not only influenced by the level of IQ alone. However there are many other factors such as emotional intelligence study habits self-potential and other factors. Emotional intelligence and study habits are interrelated. Emotional intelligence can affect motivation with high motivation will tend to create good study habits. With various levels of emotional intelligence and study habits a variety of the level of each individual academic achievement so that a deep understanding of the relationship of emotional intelligence and study habits and academic achievement are considered very important. This study aims to determine the relationship either partially or simultaneously of emotional intelligence and habits of learning with academic achievement of students majoring in mechanical engineering courses engineering education S1 force 2008 Faculty of Engineering State University of Malang. This study used a descriptive correlational research design data analysis techniques were used Pearson Product Moment to test the validity Alpha Cronbanch for reliability test and multiple regression to determine the partial and simultaneous relationships of variables in this study. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Engineering State University of Malang and the subjects of the study were students of Department of Mechanical Engineering Education Program S1 Force 2008 Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Engineering State University of Malang amounting to 159 students and the instrument used in the form of questionnaires and documentation. Based on the results of the analysis indicate that (1) emotional intelligence (EQ) has a significant relationship with student academic achievement (2) study habits have a significant relationship with student academic achievement and (3) Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and habit learning together has a significant relationship with academic achievement of students. From the results of this study concluded that emotional intelligence (X1) and habit learning (X2) both simultaneously (simultaneously/together) as well as its own (partial) has a significant relationship with student academic achievement (Y).
