Pengembangan media hidden card untuk pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Inggris kelas III SDN Tempeh Tengah IV Kabupaten Lumajang / Derrissuci Primastasari

Abstrak
Keywords Development Hidden Media Card vocabulary English A hidden card media is one of the visual media charts that can be used for learning in primary schools. Based on the observation in primary school of Central Tempeh 4 Lumajang teachers implemented conventional methods and just doing the worksheets so that learners felt less vibrant and saturated to participate in learning process. Developers make alternative choices used as attractive and lightweight learning which generates creativity toward learners and make them to be more active learners. The purposes of hidden card media development were 1) hidden cards as a medium of learning English language 2) to find out students learning outcomes in their English vocabulary. Hidden cards may be used as an alternative media in learning to assist teachers in preparing materials and assisting learners in increasing vocabulary. Sadiman development model that underlies the development of hidden media card such as 1) identification of needs 2) objective analysis 3) materials development 4) development and evaluation tools 5) preparation of guidelines utilization 6) production 7) validation 8) revision. This hidden card is tested to third year students of Central Tempeh Elementary School 4 Lumajang on English subject Food and Beverages . Data collection was to determine the validity of the media by using a questionnaire instrument tested to the media experts such as professors of education technology the audience / students of third year at Central Tempeh Elementary School 4 Lumajang. Pre-test and post-test conducted to determine the students learning outcomes. The analysis used for data validation was media experts material experts and audience / learners using descriptive percentages while the learning outcomes of students used the comparison results of learners before and after hidden card method. From the experiments of hidden card media conducted by media experts showed 98.9% indicated the appropriate qualifications or valid for use in the learning process the material experts stated 97.5% which was appropriate or valid for use in the learning process. individual learners stated 97.5% that the hidden media cards was appropriate or valid. 100% of Audience / small groups of students said that the media was feasible or valid used in the learning process. 98.97% of classical learners stated that the media was proper or valid in the learning process. Results of pre-test and post-test toward the use of this media to individual learners have increased 15.8% 23.6% audience of small group and 17.2% classical audience in increasing vocabulary. It might be concluded that a media card can be used to individual small groups and classical learning and the hidden cards enhances the English vocabulary of learners after post-test. The author recommends teachers use the media in learning process to make learners active and enthusiastic in following the lessons.
