Abstrak
Keywords Health Level Risk Based Capital Minimum Limit of Solvability Level The solvability level of an insurance company should be controlled properly so that it does not come across any financial difficulties in assuring the return of the customers claim developing the customers trust in using the company service as well as developing the investors trust to invest in the company. In order to determine the health level of an insurance company in assuring the solvability Risk Based Capital analysis is employed. The goal of this study is to find out the health level of the Insurance Company Bina Dana Arta Tbk based on the ratio of the risk based capital and which component of it has the dominant value on the health level of the Insurance Company Bina Dana Arta Tbk as well as how much each component values. This study is a descriptive research with quantitative approach and the subject is the Insurance Company Bina Dana Arta Tbk during the period of 2007-2010. The result of the study revealed that the health level of the Insurance Company Bina Dana Arta Tbk based on the ratio of the risk based capital during the period of 2007-2010 has always been on the level above 12% so that it meets the health criteria according to the Indonesian government. The components of risk based capital have dominant values are (1) the determination of claim expenses and expected claim expenses and (2) wealth management. Based on the findings it is recommended that the company pay more attention to the value of risk based capital understand the factors affecting within and grasp the provision and risk factors from each aspect so that in turn it can increase the value of the company risk based capital.
