Keywords Student Achievement Integrated Social Science Separated Social Science 12288 12288 12288 12288 In 2006 the government released a new curriculum School-Based Curriculum (SBC) which is carried out simultaneously in 2008 after socialization for 2 years. SCB requires social science fields in Junior High School (SMP)/Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) such as Sociology History Geography and Economics are organized systematically comprehensively and integrated. In fact most (SMP/MTs) schoools is still carries out social sciences sparatedly based on its each fields. 12288 12288 12288 12288 This research is a quasi experiment. The population is students class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Pungging Mojokerto. The samples that used for this study are students of class VIII-B and class VIII-C by using purposive sampling. While the instrument to test students s achievement are pre-test and post-test to obtain the student achievement. The validity test used Pearson Product Moment while to test the reliability test used Alpha Cronbach. Finally for data analysis it used T-Test. The results of this study show that (1) there is an increasing of student achivement using the integrated social science (2) there is an increasing of student achivement using the separated social science however (3) there are no differences of student achievement using the integrated social science and using the separated social science. Based on the results above there are some suggestions that are (1) teachers should implement the prevailing curriculum School-Based Curriculum using Integrated Social Science (2) school gives the course of integrated learning for the teachers in order to improve the understandings and it make the teacher easy to implement the integrated social science (3) the researcher studies about understanding of integrated consept to arrange the integrated instrument and (4) for future research it is better using a larger sample and advanced research instruments to improve the critical thinking skills of the students.
