Learning is an activity of getting knowledge attitudes and beliefs change performed by educators to students. Understanding the characteristics of the students is also very important in the achievement of learning goals. Many students do not understand the lessons not only caused by less intelligent students but also because the teachers do not understand the students themselves. When applied learning models do not match with the existing character of the students as a result students will feel bored and want to quickly finish learning the material. These problems can be solved by applying cooperative learning because the student will receive a lot of feedback from their friend. Of many models of cooperative learning researcher choose two models of learning is STAD and Jigsaw. Both models will make the students more active in the learning process. 12288 12288 12288 12288 This study used a quasy experimental research design with nonequivalent control group design. The design of this study used two classes class in which experiment classes applied STAD based on problem learning and control class apllied jigsaw learning model. Analysis of the data used to test the hypothesis is the t-test for differences because this study measure student learning outcomes between the two learning models. 12288 12288 12288 12288 Research study results indicate that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes between the experiment class and control class judging from the results of the t-test with sig.0 016
