Kata Kunci Lithology Welirang Vulcano Density Gravity. 12288 12288 12288 12288 Welirang Volcano (3156 msl) is one of the active volcanoes type A which located on grens of the Malang District and Mojokerto District East Java Indonesia. Welirang Volcano eruption in general have explosive properties. The eruption center of Welirang Volcano controlled by weak or unstable zone. This weak or unstable zone can be known from several rock lithology which lies below the surfaces of Welirang Volcano through the density differences. One method for determine the subsurface density is gravity method. This method based on the difference in mass below the surface where that mass is larger or smaller if compared with the material around it. In this research aims to determine the distribution pattern of weak zone below the surface and estimate the eruption center of Welirang Volcano based on the density differences. 12288 12288 12288 12288 This research using Loop system is a measurement system was which begins and ends on the base. Data processing in this research covers the entire process begins with a reading tool in field to obtained the values of Bouguer anomaly at every point. The procedure of data processing is process from conversion readings to become 2-D cross-section model. Then to know the appearance below the surface of Welirang Volcano modeling done by using software surfur 10 and Grav2DC. 12288 12288 12288 12288 The result obtained in this research indicated that lithology below the surface of Welirang Volcano most of them is sedimentary rock such as sand stone and igneous rocks such as dyorite. Where the whole rocks an abundance of cold lava of Welirang Volcano.
