Supervisor (I) Dra Widayati MH (II) Suwarti S.Pd M.Pd Keywords Learning Outcomes IPS Concept Sentence Based on preliminary observations in the fourth grade social studies lesson on SDN Bendo 2 it is known that there are some problems in teaching social studies in the classroom IV.Permasalahan include (1) the student pasa boredom when learning takes place this is due to the teachers who are still using conventional methods (2) students were passive during the learning IPS.Hal was due to the method used more ceramah.Untuk it should be a renewal in terms of teaching methods. Sala an appropriate learning model is Model Concept Sentence by directly involving students in learning to create students actively participate in learning activities. The design used in this study is a Class action research (CAR) conducted collaboratively between researchers and teachers. Step TOD includes 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages action planning action observation and reflection. The four stages of a rare sequence in one cycle and is associated with the next cycle. The subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 2 Blitar Bendo the number of students 23 children. The techniques used are observation interviews and testing while the analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the application of Concept Sentence learning model on social studies learning has been successful in increasing the activity and learning outcomes Bendo fourth grade students of SDN 2. It is seen from the observation of the activities of students and average evaluations continued to increase. Based on observation most students have dared to ask / answer and report the results diskusi.Hasil increasing student learning from the previous average (58.86%) had increased in the first cycle with the previous average (68.26% and 73.30%) and the percentage of mastery learning class that is (65% / 78%) increased in the second cycle with the class average of (77.21%) and the percentage of mastery learning class (91%) is recommended for further research should be able to fix flaws -existing weaknesses so that the learning is expected to be as optimal as possible.
