Guru merupakan unsur terpenting untuk memfasilitasi tumbuh kembangnya kemampuan yang dimiliki siswa. Mengingat pentingnya peran guru maka seorang guru harus mampu menguasai strategi untuk merangsang berbagai kamampuan siswa. Unsur penting yang harus dikuasai guru yaitu mampu menggunakan berbagai model dan media pembelajaran. Problem solving merupakan satu dari sekian banyak model yang bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa. Dengan model problem solving mengkondisikan siswa untuk terlibat dalam proses penyelesaian masalah. Sementara media yang digunakan yaitu jejaring sosial facebook sebagai tempat berbagi informasi dan kamunikasi materi pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem solving berbantuan facebook terhadap aktivitas motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS. Desain penelitian termasuk ke dalam jenis quasi experiment dimana dilakukan perlakuan yang berbeda terhadap kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Cijaku dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas IX yang memiliki facebook sampel penelitian Kelas IXA dan IXB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Instrumen pengambilan data memakai lembar observasi angket pretest dan postest. Data dianalisis dengan memakai uji independent sample t-test pada alpha 0.05 taraf kepercayaan 95%. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran problem solving berbantuan facebook terhadap aktivitas motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS. Hal ini didukung dengan uji hipotesis aktivitas belajar signifikansi 0.000 nilai ini jauh lebih kecil dari alpha 0.05. Sementara motivasi belajar Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05 dan hasil belajar Sig (2-tailed) adalah 0.001 0.05. Data tersebut memberikan kesimpulan terdapat perbedaan aktivitas dan motivasi serta hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Model problem solving melibatkan siswa dengan berbagai permasalahan yang dibahas dalam kelompok membangun kerjasama interaksi dan komunikasi. Keberadaan akun facebook IPS Terpadu sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas dan media pembelajaran online di rumah untuk berbagi materi dan informasi. Saran untuk guru dalam proses pembelajaran sebaiknya menggunakan model dan media yang tepat untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan siswa model problem solving dan media facebook bisa dijadikan sebagai alternatif untuk proses pembelajaran. Keterbatasan ruang dan waktu dalam proses penyampaian materi pembelajaran IPS dapat menggunakan e-learning berbasis facebook. ABSTRACT Rosadi Didi. 2017. Due to the important of the role of the teacher then a teacher should be able to master the strategy to stimulate several students abilities. A critical element to be mastered by the teacher is capable of using various models and instructional media. Problem solving is one of the models that can be used to enhance students skills. With the problem solving model students are conditioned to engage in problem-solving process. While the media used was facebook as a place to share information and learning materials of social studies subject. This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Solving Learning Model Assisted with Facebook towards Activities and Motivation and Learning Outcomes of social studies subject. The study design used quasi-experimental model which carried out in different treatment of experimental class and control class. The study was conducted in SMPN 1 Cijaku with the population of who students of Class IX had facebook sample Class IXA and IXB as an experimental class and control class with sampling purposive techniques. Data collection instruments using observation sheets questionnaires pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test at 0 05 alpha 95% of confidence level. The results of this study showed that there was the influence of problem solving learning model using facebook s response to activity motivation and learning results social studies. It was supported with hypothesis testing learning activities significance 0.000 this value was much smaller than the alpha 0.05. While the motivation of learning Sig (2-tailed) 0000 0.05 and yield learning Sig (2-tailed) was 0.001 0.05. These data provided the conclusion there was difference in activity motivation and learning results between experiments with classroom control. A learning model of problem solving involves students with some problems discussed in the groups to build cooperation interaction and communication. The existence of the account facebook Integrated social studies as a medium of instruction in the classroom and online learning media at home to share material and information. It is recommended for the teacher in the learning process should use the model and the right medium to facilitate students ability problem solving model and media facebook could serve as an alternative to the learning process. The limitations of space and time in the process of the delivery of the learning material social studies can use e-learning based facebook.
