Keywords Mind Mapping Learning Model activity learning result IPS Based on preliminary observations conducted by researchers at SDN Mangliawan II Malang Regency especially in class IV A in IPS learning is known that in teacher learning activities only use lecture method record and assignment so students look bored sleepy and not active in learning . As a result the learning outcomes obtained by students are low that students get the value below the Minimum Exhaustiveness Criteria (KKM) which is 70. Needs a settlement in the problem.One alternative problem solving namely by applying mind mapping learning model. This study aims to (1) describe the application of the Mind Mapping learning model in the fourth grade IPS subject A SDN Mangliawan II Malang Regency (2) to describe the increase of student activity through mind mapping learning model on IV Social Science class IV A SDN Mangliawan II Malang Regency And (3) to describe the improvement of students learning outcomes through the Mind Mapping learning model on IV I class IV A SDN Mangliawan II Malang. This research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach. The type of research used is classroom action research. Data collection techniques used are observation interviews tests and documentation. In the implementation of the research assisted by the research partner of the teacher grade IV A SDN Mangliawan II. The results of this study show that mind mapping learning model can improve the activity and learning outcomes of fourth graders SDN Mangliawan II. The average acquisition of student learning outcomes increased from the average pratindakan to cycle I of 12.75% from cycle I to cycle II of 17.94% with 96.77% complete learning. Student learning activities also increased from 63 in the first cycle to 85.93 in cycle II an increase of 22.93%. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the application of learning model Mind Mapping can improve the activity and learning outcomes of fourth graders A SDN Mangliawan II Malang Regency. For teachers it is hoped that this mind mapping learning model will be used to improve student s activity and learning outcomes. For further research is expected this research can be followed up with adannya development.
