Kata Kunci bahan ajar laju reaksi model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E Pengetahuan kimia terdiri atas empat dimensi pengetahuan yaitu faktual konseptual prosedural dan metakognisi. Salah satu materi kimia kelas XI adalah laju reaksi. Berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari materi laju reaksi. Kesulitan yang dialami peserta didik mengindikasikan bahwa empat dimensi pengetahuan belum dicapai dengan baik. Keempat dimensi pengetahuan dapat dicapai melalui pendekatan inkuiri saintifik. Salah satu model pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri saintifik adalah Learning Cycle 5E. Implementasi pendekatan inkuiri saintifik pada pembelajaran kimia melalui model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E akan terlaksana dengan baik jika ditunjang oleh kompetensi pendidik serta ketersediaan bahan ajar. Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah menghasilkan sekaligus mengetahui tingkat kelayakan bahan ajar laju reaksi berbasis Learning Cycle 5E untuk peserta didik kelas XI SMA/MA. Pengembangan bahan ajar laju reaksi mengadopsi model pengembangan 4D dari Thiagarajan. Empat tahap pengembangan 4D adalah (1) define (2) design (3) develop dan (4) disseminate. Tahap disseminate tidak dilakukan karena tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan hanya sebatas mengetahui kelayakan produk yang dihasilkan. Bahan ajar hasil pengembangan ditentukan kelayakannya berdasarkan hasil validasi dan uji keterbacaan menggunakan angket. Validasi dilakukan oleh tiga validator yaitu satu dosen jurusan kimia Universitas Negeri Malang dan dua guru kimia SMA Negeri 1 Batu. Sedangkan uji keterbacaan dilakukan pada 10 peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Batu. Hasil pengembangan Bahan Ajar Laju Reaksi berbasis Learning Cycle 5E untuk peserta didik kelas XI SMA/MA terdiri dari dua buku yaitu buku siswa dan buku guru. Hasil validasi menunjukkan persentase rata-rata buku siswa sebesar 92 78% dan persentase rata-rata buku guru sebesar 93 88%. Produk hasil pengembangan mempunyai kriteria sangat layak untuk digunakan peserta didik kelas XI SMA/MA. Produk hasil pengembangan diharapkan dapat mendukung implementasi Kurikulum 2013 Edisi 2016 dan disarankan dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektivitas bahan ajar serta dilakukan pengembangan bahan ajar dengan basis yang sama pada materi kimia yang lain. One of the chemistry material for XI grade is the reaction rate. Various studies indicate that many students found difficulties in learning reaction rate. The difficulties experienced by the learners indicated that the four dimensions of knowledge have not been achieved well. The four dimensions of knowledge can be achieved through inquiry scientific approach. One of the inquiry scientific based learning model is 5E Learning Cycle Instructional Model. Implementation of the inquiry scientific approach to the study of chemistry through the 5E Learning Cycle Instructional Model would be done properly if supported by the competence of educators as well as the availability of learning materials. The purpose of this study is to produce the research while knowing the level of appropriateness of learning materials of reaction rate based on the 5E Learning Cycle Instructional Model for XI Grade of Senior High School. The development of learning material of reaction rate adopted 4D model development by Thiagarajan. The four stages of the 4D development were (1) define (2) design (3) develop and (4) disseminate. Disseminate phase was not done because of the research and development purposes only as knowing the legibility of products produced. The result of learning materials development feasibility were determined based on the results of validation and test legibility using questionnaire. The validation was done by three validator they were a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry of State University of Malang and two chemistry teacher of Senior High School 1 Batu. Whereas test legibility was done on 10 students of XI grade of science of Senior High School 1 Batu. The development results of learning material of reaction rate based on the 5E Learning Cycle Instructional Model for XI Grade of Senior High School consists of two books which are students and teacher s guide book. The validation results showed that the average of students book is 92.78% and the average of teacher s guide book is 93.88%. Learning materials development results are categorized as very feasible to be use for students of XI grade of Senior High School students. The results of product development are expected to support the implementation of the curriculum of 2013 edition of 2016 and advised to do research to find out the effectiveness of learning materials and development the learning materials is done with the same base content of other chemistry material.
