M.T Keywords Buttress Red Bricks Light Bricks Efficiency Buttress is one of pivotal point of a building. A need of these bricks led into new inovations in making bricks one of them is light bricks or light concretes. This thing becomes the base of this study by comparing the buttress which are arranged in a stack of red bricks with the light bricks as well. Timing is important in running a project. By timing it can be determined that a work is started at 08.000-15.30 WIB even to know the efficiency of a work if it managed unwell. The efficiency of making the light bricks and red bricks gained by undertaking observation which is taken from the installation of light bricks on building project. This study is aimed to know the comparison of time efficiency in the installation of the light bricks and red bricks. This study is taken from a case study on a running of building project of GedungBundar Al-Asy ari in Universitas Islam Malang and concretes factory building project. The accumulation results is gained that each two worker consisted of one worker and one bricklayer by an agglutinant. They can install a stack of light bricks 10m2and by the same couple worker with the red bricks resulted 7m2 in seven hours. By installing buttress under 4 5 meter and wide about 901m2 it is consuming eight days on the installing the light bricksthan red bricks. So it can be concluded that the installation of using the light bricks is eight days faster than the red bricks with ten workers on each group.
