This research was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of Survey Question Read Record Recite and Reflect (SQ4R strategy) in teaching reading comprehension to students with different learning styles. This is a quasi-experimental research using pre-test and post-test. Fifty students of ninth graders SMPN 1 Simpangteritip academic year 2016/2017 become subjects of this research.Fifty students with different learning style took part in this research as the subject of the research. They were twenty five students in experimental group and twenty five students in control group. The visual auditory and kinesthetic questionnaires given to find out of the students learning style. Post-test were conducted to identify the effect of the SQ4R strategy treatment. The main instrument used was reading comprehension test to measure students reading comprehensions achievement.After analysing the data resulting from post-test it was found that the result of t-test the level of significancy was (sig-value .004 945 .05) based on this result it could be drawn conclusion that SQ4R strategy was effective to push the students to comprehend in reading. The data analysing based on SQ4R strategy across the students learning styles found that the level of significancy was (sig-value .597 945 .05) those indicate that there were no significant difference score on the students with different learning style. The result of the SPSS computation of two-way ANOVA reveals that the obtained significant value for the interaction effect between SQ4R strategy and learning styles was .687. The result shows significant level (sig.687 sig. .05). It means that there was no interaction between strategies and learning styles on students achievement in reading narrative texts
