Kata Kunci Kemahiran membaca Strategi Pembelajaran Strategi TASC Salah satu kemahiran berbahasa yang ada dalam bahasa Arab adalah kemahiran membaca. Tujuan dari kemahiran membaca adalah siswa mampu membaca dengan lancar tepat makhraj-nya dan memahami isi teks. Namun pembelajaran kemahiran membaca masih tergantung terhadap guru strategi pembelajaran masih pada guru-centris. Strategi pembelajaran berperan penting dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran. Strategi pembelajaran juga dapat membantu guru dalam proses belajar mengajar untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. TASC adalah salah satu strategi belajar aktif yang menuntut siswa berfikir aktif dalam pembelajaran dengan menghubungkan pelajaran yang didapat dengan pengalaman yang siswa punya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan strategi Thinking Actively in Social Context (TASC) untuk pembelajaran kemahiran membaca bahasa Arab siswa kelas X MIPA 2 MAN 1 Malang. (2) mendeskripsikan efektifitas penerapan strategi Thinking Actively in Social Context (TASC) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca bahasa Arab siswa kelas X MIPA 2 MAN 1 Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Data dalam penelitian ada dua macam yaitu data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari hasil pre-tes dan post-test. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari hasil wawancara observasi beserta kuisioner. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan dalam dua pertemuan. Pertemuan pertama untuk penyampaian materi dan pertemuan kedua untuk evaluasi. Penentuan jumlah siklus yang dilaksanakan peneliti dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa setelah dilakukan tindakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan membaca siswa kelas X MIPA 2 meningkat baik membaca nyaring maupun pemahaman terhadap bacaan setelah dilakukan pembelajaran menggunakan strategi TASC. Pernyataan tersebut berdasarkan pada data sebagai berikut niali rata-rata untuk membaca nyaring pada saat siklus I 67 12 dan setelah siklus II meningkat menjadi 73 86. Sedangkan untuk nilai rata-rata pemahaman siswa terhadap teks pada saat pre-test adalah 71 96. Setelah dilaksanakan siklus I nilai rata-rata kelas menjadi 79 24. Dan setelah siklus II nilai rata-rata siswa menjadi 83 54. Peningkatan nilai ini dipengaruhi oleh suasana belajar yang kondusif dalam belajar kelompok. Semakin kecil anggota kelompok maka akan semakin efektif kinerja seorang siswa dalam belajar. Saran untuk peneliti lain yang meneliti strategi TASC hendaknya meneliti kemahiran lainnya terutama kemahiran menulis yang belum pernah dilakukan oleh peneliti lain. Keywords reading proficiency learning strategies TASC Strategies One of the existing proficiency in Arabic is reading proficiency. The purpose of reading proficiency are students able to read fluently read with the right makhraj and understand about the text. But learn of reading proficiency still depend on the teacher learning strategy still in the teacher-centric. Learning strategy is important in process learning. Learning strategy can help the teacher in process learning to achieve the purpose. TASC is one of active learning strategy that demand strudents to think active in the learning by connecting the lessons with student s experiences. The purpose of this research is describing implementation Thinking Actively in Social Context (TASC) strategy for reading proficiency in Arabic grade X MIPA 2 MAN 1 Malang and describing effectiveness Thinking Actively in Social Context (TASC) strategy to increase reading proficiency in Arabic grade X MIPA 2 MAN 1 Malang. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) type. There are two data in this research quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data from pre-test and post-test. Qualitative data from interview observation and quisioner. This research did by two cycle. Every cycle did by two meeting. The first meeting for explain the lesson and the second meeting for evaluation. The researcher determined the number of cycles from student learning outcomes after the action. The result of the research is show that the student s skill of reading increased after apply TASC strategy. That statement from the mean of fluent reading in the first cycle is 67 12 and the second cycle is 73 86. While the mean students comprehension in pre-test is 71 96. After did first cycle the mean become 79 24. And after did second cycle the mean become 83 54. Increasing this value is affected by a conducive learning atmosphere in the group study. The smaller group members it will be more effective for a student in learning.
