Kata kunci Pengembangan bahan Ajar materi triple representation. Unsur senyawa dan campuran merupakan salah satu pokok bahasan dalam kimia. Pokok bahasan ini terdapat pada kompetensi dasar jenjang SMP dan secara tidak langsung dibutuhkan untuk mempelajari pokok bahasan kimia lainnya pada jenjang SMA dan perguruan tinggi. Oleh karena itu peserta didik seharusnya telah mempunyai pemahaman yang baik pada jenjang SMP. Akan tetapi menurut hasil penelitian peserta didik masih banyak mengalami kesulitan dan miskonsepsi pada pokok bahasan unsur senyawa dan campuran. Penyebab paling dominan terjadinya kesulitan dan miskonsepsi adalah bahan ajar. Bahan ajar yang ada tidak menerapkan tiga tingkatan representasi dalam ilmu kimia yaitu makroskopis submikroskopis dan simbolik sehingga peserta didik tidak dapat menghubungkan ketiga tingkatan representasi dalam kimia. Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar kimia berbasis triple representation pada pokok bahasan unsur senyawa dan campuran dan mengetahui kevalidan bahan ajar berdasarkan proses validasi. Pengembangan bahan ajar ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan model pengembangan four-D model (Thiagarajan 1974). Menurut model ini pengembangan bahan ajar dilakukan melalui 4 tahapan yaitu tahap define design develop dan disseminate. Namun pada pengembangannya baru dilakukan tahap define design dan develop. Validasi pengembangan bahan ajar ini diperoleh data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh berdasarkan skor angket yang disusun dalam skala Likert. Data kualitatif diperoleh berdasarkan komentar dan saran perbaikan yang diisi oleh validator ahli yakni dosen Jurusan Kimia guru kimia SMA dan guru IPA SMP serta uji keterbacaan yang dilakukanoleh masing-masing 10 peserta didik semester 2 jurusan pendidikan kimia Universitas Negeri Malang kelas 10 SMAN 2 Malang dan kelas 7 SMPN 5 Malang. Perolehan data kuantitatif kemudian dianalisis mengguanakan teknik persentase penilaian. Hasil perhitungan persentase penilaian yang diperoleh digunakan sebagai landasan pengambilan keputusan lebih lanjut terhadap revisi produk yang disesuaikan dengan jenjang kriteria interpretasi skor penilaian bahan ajar untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar berupa buku suplemen pokok bahasan unsur senyawa dan campuran. Hasil persentase rata-rata validasi isi buku suplemen sebesar 83% termasuk kriteria valid dan hasil persentase rata-rata uji keterbacaan buku suplemen sebesar 83% termasuk kriteria valid. Berdasarkan hasil validasi isi dan uji keterbacaan menunjukan bahwa secara umum bahan suplemen telah valid sehingga layak digunakan. SUMMARY Sugiarti Desy Ratna. 2017. This subject is found in the basic competence of junior high school level and indirectly needed to study other chemical subjects at high school and college level. Therefore learners should have good understanding on junior high school level. However according to the results of the study learners are still experiencing difficulties and misconceptions on the subject matter of elements compounds and mixtures. The dominant cause of the difficulties and misconception is the learning materials. The existing learning materials do not apply three levels of representation in chemistry which are macroscopic submicroscopic and symbolic so that learners can not connect the three levels of representation in chemistry. The purpose of this research and development is to produce chemical learning material with triple representation in element compounds and mixture subject and to gauge the appropriateness of materials based on the validation process. The development of the learning materials is done by applying a model of the development of four-D model (Thiagarajan 1974). According to this model the development of learning materials is done through 4 stages which are define design develop and disseminate. However the development of this study is done based only on define design and develop stages. The validation of the learning materials development is obtained through quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data were obtained based on the score that arranged on Likert scale. The qualitative data were obtained based on the comments and suggestions of improvements in questionnaire which filled by validator experts chemistry lecturer senior high school chemistry teacher and junior high school science teacher also readability test which done on each 10 students in second semester Department of chemical education State University of Malang grade 10 SMAN 2 Malang and grade 7 SMPN 5 Malang. The quantitative data were then analyzed by using percentage-scoring technique. The results of the calculation is utilized as the foundation for further determination towards the revision of a product that is adapted to the level of interpretation criteria score assessment materials to find out the materials worthiness level. The result of the learning material development research is a supplement book elements compounds and mixtures textbook. The average percentage of the supplement book content validation is 83% classified as feasible. The result of the average percentage of the supplement book readability test is 83% classified as feasible. The results of the content validation and readability test proved that the the textbook is valid so this supplement book is qualified to be used.
