Kata Kunci Ferrogel Mn0 5Fe2 5O4-PEG PVA. Today cancer is one of deadly diseases. Various studies have been done to find of solution cancer. One of them is by doing therapy hyperthermia. Hyperthermia is a therapy performed by providing heat to cancer cells in the temperature of 113 oF/45 oC. There are many ways for hyperthermia theraphy one of them is using a method of assistance made from ferogel. This study focuses on the thermal study of ferrogel with magnetic filler Mn0 5Fe2 5O4-PEG and matrix PVA hydrogel. Synthesis Mn0 5Fe2 5O4-PEG filler magnetic was done by coprecipitation method. Aftar that synthesis ferrogel was done by freezing-thawing method which was repeated up to five times. Powder of Mn0 5Fe2 5O4-PEG was characterized using XRD FTIR UV-VIS TEM and SAXS to determine particle size functional groups bandgap morphology and size distribution. While the ferromel was characterized using magnetothermal test to determine the value of Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). The XRD characterization shows that the sample has a pure Fe3O4 phase. These results have a similary confirmed by TEM and SAXS with particle size distributions of about 3 - 6 nm. The FTIR characterization shows the main component of functional groups in tetrahedral and octahedral sites. The UV-VIS characterization shows an average bandgap energy of 2.1 eV. Based on SAR characterization the magnetic hydrogel the highest SAR value with 15% filler concentration of 1.76 61687 61687 61688 61686 61671 61671 61672 61670 npmC W/g.
