M.Si Keywords Leading Commodities AHP (Process Hierarchy Analysis) food crops This study aims to analyze the condition of the agricultural sector in Probolinggo how is the analysis of the development of the food sector of superior commodities of rice shallots sugar cane and mango in Probolinggo and commodities sector is superior in Probolinggo. This study uses descriptive quantitative research design. The analysis method used 1) LQ to determine the leading sectors 2) MRP for comparison of regional sectoral growth ratios with sectoral growth of the province especially in the agricultural sector 3) Klassen typology to determine sector conditions agriculture of Probolinggo 4) AHP to determine the priority of commodities Based on data analysis methods conditions in Probolinggo District show that the agricultural sector is a superior base sector at the district and provincial levels. Analysis of the development of superior commodities in Probolinggo has experienced problems in capital and raw materials where capital for the onion and mango sector has objected to the interest on loans. sugar cane production experienced an excess demand so it was unable to meet market needs. While the problem faced by rice farmers is the lack of government policies that support rice farmers. Based on the results of the analysis of data that has been processed with expert choice it is known the value of each criterion namely (1) rice criteria have the highest weight of 0.531. (2) the criteria for shallots have the second highest weight of 0.259. (3) the criteria for sugarcane are considered to have the third highest weight with a value of 0.118. (4) the criteria of mangoes are judged to have the lowest weight with a value of 0.092.
