ABSTRACT Siagian Helkia Rumundang 2019. The Strategy of Seasonal Laborers Survival of Cigaratte Extermination of PT Gudang Garam. Graduating Paper Department of Sociology Sociology Education Universitas Negeri Malang. Counselor Anggaunitakiranantika S.Sos M.Sosio. Keywords Survival strategy seasonal laborer of cigaratte extermination existence Seasonal laborer of cigaratte extermination is people who work as cigaratte extermination in PT Gudang Garam when there is a cigaratte extermination project. In this case PT Gudang Garam involves housewife as a laborer who is able to spare in every cigaratte extermination project so that the majority of who are involved in the project of cigaratte extermination is a housewife. The problem formulations of this study are (1) How is strategy of seasonal laborers survival of cigaratte extermination in maintaining the life continuance. (2) How do seanonal laborers of cigaratte extermination maintain their existences in Namba an Village. This study used literature review observation interview and documentation study. The validity and legality of the data used triangulation technique. The result of this study showed that (1) The strategy of seasonal laborers survival of cigarrate extermination included owing money from close relatives neighbours and lender bank. As of this period the important thing was how they were able to fulfill daily needs and there was also laborers who worked odd jobs and the important thing was how they were able to collect money to pay off the debt and fulfill another daily needs. (2) Maintaining the existence of seasonal laborers of cigaratte extermination in taking care of good relationship between a coordinator and other laborers and working hard and fulfilling the job target. A suggestion given to the seasonal laborers of cigaratte extermination in order to be able to protect the harmony of other laborers of cigaratte extermination and always cooperate well. Always work hard to be able to fulfill daily needs. To the next researcher to investigate another different focus.
