Kata kunci model group investigation motivasi berprestasi pemahaman konsep Abad 21 merupakan abad pengetahuan yang menuntut pembelajaran berkualitas. Proses pembelajaran menekankan keterlibatan pebelajar dalam belajar. Model pembelajaran yang melibatkan pebelajar dapat memengaruhi hasil pembelajaran berupa kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang tinggi kemampuan berpikir kritis kemampuan berpikir kreatif serta kemampuan kolaborasi dan komunikasi pebelajar. Faktor lain diduga turut memengaruhi hasil pembelajaran adalah motivasi berprestasi pebelajar. Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang tepat dan memperhatikan karakteristik pebelajar dapat berpengaruh pada keberhasilan tujuan pembelajaran dan kebermaknaan pembelajaran. Penelitin ini bertujuan untuk menguji (1) perbedaan pemahaman konsep pebelajar antara kelas yang dibelajarkan model group investigation dan model direct instruction (2) perbedaan pemahaman konsep pebelajar antara pebelajar yang mempunyai motivasi berprestasi tinggi dan rendah (3) interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap pemahaman konsep pebelajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen kuasi dengan rancangan faktorial 2 x 2 nonequivalent control group design. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 124 pebelajar dari empat kelas pada Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan di Institut Agama Islam Pangeran Diponegoro Nganjuk. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes pemahaman konsep dan kuesioner motivasi berprestasi. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari (1) pengujian persyaratan analisis yang berupa uji normalitas dan homogenitas dan (2) pengujian hipotesis penelitian dengan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) Two Way berbantuan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan (1) ada perbedaan pemahaman konsep pebelajar antara kelas yang dibelajarkan model group investigation dan model direct instruction (2) ada perbedaan pemahaman konsep pebelajar antara pebelajar yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi tinggi dan rendah (3) ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap pemahaman konsep pebelajar. The learning process emphasizes the involvement of students in learning. Learning models that involve students can influence learning outcomes in the form of high concept comprehension skills critical thinking skills creative thinking skills and students collaboration and communication skills. Another factor that influenced the learning outcomes was students achievement motivation. The use of appropriate learning models that pay attention to the characteristics of students can affect the success of learning objectives and meaningful learning. The objectives of the research are to examine (1) the difference of learner concept comprehension that is learned by group investigation and direct instuction model (2) the difference of learner comprehension concept between the learner that have high and low achievement motivation. (3) interaction between learning model and achievement motivation toward learner concept comprehension. This research used quasi experiment with factorial planning 2 X 2 non equivalent control group design. The research subjects are 124 students from four classes in the Islamic Education Program Study Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training in Pangeran Diponegoro Islamic Institut of Nganjuk. The research instrument used test of concept comprehension and questionnaire of achievement motivation. Technique of analysis data used (1) testing of analysis rules using normality and homogeneity test. (2) testing of research hypotheses using analysis of variance (ANOVA) two way used SPSS aplication. The result of research shows (1) there is difference of learner concept comprehension that learned with group investigation and direct instuction model. (2) there are difference of learner comprehension concept between the learner that have high and low achievement motivation. (3) There are interaction between learning model and achievement motivation toward learner concept comprehension.
